Ingredients

4 oz. Vodka

2 oz. Fresh lemon juice

1 oz. Pomegranate juice

.5 oz. Orange juice (We used Turmeric orange juice for an extra pop)

1 oz. Sumac simple syrup
Garnishes
-
2 Lemon peel twists
-
1/2 Tsp. Ground Sumac Powder

2 Tbsp. Pomegranate Sugar (you can usually find this at any Total Wine, BevMo or Amazon.)
Directions
Add all ingredients except the garnishes into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Place 1 cube with sumac sugar side up into each coupe glass. (see notes for ice cube)
Carefully strain your cocktail into each glass slowly around the ice cube, then garnish with a lemon peel twist on top of each cube.
Serve immediately.

Notes:
Instruction for making your pomegranate ice cubes.
• Freeze square block ice cubes, preferably small ones the night before serving or with enough time to freeze.
• Using a small pestle and mortar, grind 1/2 Tsp. of Sumac until it becomes a nice powder.
• In a small plate combine 2 Tsp. of Pomegranate sugar and the sumac and spread along bottom of plate.
• Remove each ice cube from its tray and quickly wet the top of cube with a bit of water.
• Gently place the wet side of the cube down onto the plate to coat the top of the cube & place each one sumac side up in your glasses.
