Honey Caramel Sauce

Rated 5.0 stars by 1 users Let's Get Saucy Sauce 1 1/2 C. 10-15 minutes Lollygag 1/4 C. Butter 1/2 C. plus 3 Tbsp. Raw Natural Honey 1 C. Heavy whipping cream 1 Pinch of sea salt 1 Pinch of ground Cinnamon Melt the butter in a small non reactive saucepan over low heat. Add the honey and stir to combine. Increase the heat slightly and bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes or until the mixture become a darker brown and begins to thicken. Remove from heat and add the whipping cream slowly while whisking continuously. Return to a low heat and bring to a slight boil. Once it begins to bubble, remove the sauce from the heat, add a pinch of salt and Cinnamon while whisking well. Set aside and let cool, the sauce will thicken as it cools. This sauce is great for loads of things... morning or evening tea, topped over ice cream, caramelized apple upside down cake, or brownies...and even cocktail like our Honey Ryder cocktail.
