Total Time Serving |
30-45 Min 4 Cups |
Ingredients:
- 2-3 slices of bacon- chopped
- 16 OZ. or 1 pound of ground turkey (for red meat lovers you can sub with ground beef or half turkey/ half pork)
- 2-3 Tbsp. of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ½ Cup shredded carrots
- ¼ Cup of celery-chopped
- ½ Cup of yellow onions
- 4 Large garlic cloves
- 1 Cup chicken broth (bone broth if you want it a bit richer) Plus 2 Tbsp.
- 3 Tbsp. of Tomato paste
- 1-28oz. Can of San Marzano Tomatoes
- 1 Tsp Kosher salt
- 3-4 grinds of fresh ground pepper
- ½-1 Tsp. of Italian seasoning
- ¼ cup of fresh Parsley
- 2 Tsp. of Worcestershire Sauce
Recipe Preparation:
- Using a food processor- combine carrots, onion, garlic, and celery- pulse until coarsely chopped.
- Add about 2 Tbsp. of chicken broth and pulse until it's a finely chopped consistency (remember we are hiding the veggies;) Set aside.
- In a large deep skillet heat, olive oil over medium heat and add chopped bacon, cook until browned.
- Add the bacon and brown.
- Then add your ground meat and Worcestershire Sauce and stir often to completely break up your meat and it's evenly browned. This should be about 10 minutes.
- Add your veggie mixture and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining chicken stock, tomato paste, tomatoes, then add your Italian seasoning, parsley, and salt & pepper. Mix well.
- Cover and reduce heat to medium-low.
- Let simmer for about 30 minutes- stirring occasionally and adding a bit more chicken broth if needed to keep your sauce from getting too thick.
- Remove from heat and serve with your favorite pasta or save and use later for our Million $ Lasagna recipe.
Notes:
- This sauce is used in our Million $ Lasagne or with your fave choice of cooked pasta-topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
