Rated 5.0 stars by 1 users holiday desserts desserts 16-20 depending on size 15 minutes This chocolaty spin on my mom (Karen’s Bourbon) balls are absolute delish! The perfect pairing with coffee or a fantastic holiday treat for friends & family...but mind you, these boozy morsels of goodness are strictly for the “big kids” at the party! Lollygag 2 C. Nilla Vanilla Wafers( 1 Box) - Finely ground 1/2 C. Chocolate Wafers (we used Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers)- Finely ground 2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder ( we used Hershey’s) 1/2 C. Walnuts- Finely chopped 1/2 C. Pecans-Finely chopped 3 Tbsp. Light Corn Syrup 1/4 C. Bourbon 1/8-1/4 C. Rum 1 C. Powdered Sugar (confectioner’s) 1/4- 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar (confectioner’s) for dusting In a medium bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredient (except the 1/4-1/2 cup of powdered sugar needed for dusting later) until well combined. Next, add the light corn syrup, Bourbon, and Rum to the dry mixture. Mix with a wooden spoon until you have a sticky mix and ingredients are combined well. Pour the remaining 1/4-1/2 cup of powdered sugar into a shallow bowl and begin to roll your balls. Roll each spoonful into a 1 inch ball with your hands and then, roll them in the powdered sugar. Place them onto a prepared plate or in cookie tins lined with parchment paper ready for gifting. These little morsels of yumm should last for 1-2 weeks, if stored in a ziplock or airtight container, but they rarely last that long! You can also use all Rum or all Bourbon or even spiced Rum for a different flavor.Cocoa Boozy Bon-Bon Balls
